Three-day Empowerment Retreat in Silence

  • Disclosed on sign-up (map)

Jan. 26 - Jan. 29 - Drenthe

Join us for an three-day empowerment retreat in silence!

Sometimes you feel that you have to go inside. And not just for a moment, but a serious break from everything around you to give priority to your inner life. Arjan Bos and I felt that profound point deeply, which is precisely why we have created this retreat.

Join us for three days and three nights dedicated to active silence, where you can disconnect from the noise of daily life and reconnect with your inner self. Our schedule includes early mornings and five blocks of two hours each of structured silence every day. Each silence block will begin with an introduction and reinforcement by Martijn van Staveren via audio. Between these periods of silence, you will have the opportunity to rest and enjoy meals, also in silence.

Date: Sunday Jan. 26th 8pm to Wednesday Jan. 29th 8pm.
Location:
Drenthe. Address disclosed by sign-up.

The importance of limitations to free yourself

Our attention is usually distracted by various external impulses and influences that constantly surround us. When we impose limitations on ourselves for a certain period of time and isolate ourselves from external influences, we create a valuable opportunity to free ourselves from the conditioning and expectations that the outside world has imposed on us. These periods of restriction allow us to break free from addictions, ingrained conditioned behaviors, distractions, or persistent bad habits that have become deeply ingrained in our lives over time. These periods allow us to create more space for creative expression, deep insights, and a much stronger, essential connection with our authentic and natural essence.

The practice of silence provides the space to reflect, calm and open ourselves to receive information from within. Practicing silence, even for a short period of time, can contribute significantly to greater mental clarity and emotional stability, but it can also be a difficult task and often represents a challenging excursion outside of your usual comfort zone. Here lies the invitation to embrace mental, physical, or emotional discomfort in the light of awareness by simply observing it without judgment.

Only by honestly and openly acknowledging its presence can we effectively transcend it and free ourselves from it. Every difficult moment is not a sign to withdraw, but to be fully present and offers us the opportunity to come into a deeper alignment with ourselves and our true feelings. This transformative process allows us to liberate ourselves from conditioned behavior and to gently release the various influences from outside, so that we can start using our mind again as it was originally intended, full of creativity and potential. In this way we free ourselves from the restrictions that have kept us from authentically expressing our true nature and from living freely, fully embracing who we really are and discovering the possibilities that lie ahead of us.
